She completed her first professional degree in Pharmacy at Howard University in Washington D.C. After some time as a practicing Pharmacist, Dr. Tsoiafatt-Angus proceeded to the University of Maryland: Baltimore on academic merit scholarship. There she attained her Medical Degree with a specialty in Family Medicine. She then completed 3 years of post-graduate training in Family Medicine – an exemplary effort rewarded with her certification by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Tsoiafatt-Angus has served as a medical school Professor at her alma mater, the University of Maryland: Baltimore. In so doing, she further widened both her academic and clinical experience and realized a great joy for teaching. Dr. Tsoiafatt-Angus is currently conducting private practice in Jamaica. She also, once again, enjoys teaching medical students and postgraduate residents in the Family Medicine program at the University of the West Indies: Mona Campus, Jamaica. Dr. Tsoiafatt-Angus is on the Board of Jamaica’s Consie Walters Cancer Care Hospice and is Chairman of the Consie Walters Hospice Quality Assurance Committee. She also maintains participating memberships in the Medical Association of Jamaica, the Caribbean College of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
